This time with both laser projectors on the arm sections. Also lots of bad edges showing which would be fixed in a more finished version ;) The final ship would be tiny in the game so it wouldn't need more detail than it has currently.

Ignore previous comment. This is still an awesome ship though.

What was the previous comment? :) No record of it ;) Nevermind then, thanks for the positive. Still, I like sketchup but I personally find it limiting as well after using 3dsmax many years ago.

I enjoy Sketchup, but I also like 3ds max. I think Sketchup is easy to pick up and use and allows you to flesh out tech/machine type stuff very fast. 3ds is powerful though. I often find myself exporting to 3ds for cleanup and doing the high poly model for normal maps.

Ah yeah I had heard/read somewhere that transferring sketchup models to 3dsmax is a bit of a mess. I was always fixing vertex points/welding them in another life. Always disliked models that weren't clean and all connected and not a jumble of separate geometries. Only tried normal maps once a long time ago

Thanks for your comments, much appreciate too :) Yeah I'll post a finished version when its done ;)

I'm pledged for the 300i (oops now 325a) but I would have liked to get the Connie..  though I really hope they change the insides (though keeping the bridge the same). Seen some good fan improvement examples done for the internals of the ship.

I like it. the front of the ship seems similar to the constellation with those fins at the side, and that is my favorite ship. :)
Interesting engine an thruster configuration. I can't wait to see this bad boy detailed up. Nice work
